Καλα νεα για τους χρηστες του PPSSPP! Αρχικα ο βασικος προγραμματιστης του - ο Henrik Rydgård - ειχε αποφασισει να υποστηριξει D3D11 σε μηχανηματα που ετρεχαν Win8 και ανω.
Μετα απο καποιες συζητησεις - κοινως τον πρηξαμε οσοι εχουμε Win7 - αποφασισε να υποστηριξει D3D11 και σε Win7 (και σε Vista νομιζω)! Η βασικη διαφορα ειναι οτι τα Win8+ υποστηριζουν 16bit textures ενω για τα Win7 επρεπε ολα τα textures να ειναι σε 32bit.
Σημερα δοκιμασα τις πρωτες εκδοσεις σε D3D11 σε Win7 και μπορω να πω οτι ειναι αρκετα πιο γρηγορες απο DX9 αν και ακομα εχουν καποια ψιλο-προβληματα σε μερικα παιχνιδια που δεν υπηρχαν σε DX9. Φανταζομαι οτι αυτα θα διορθωθουν σιγα-σιγα...

1.5 has support for Vulkan, the new faster way to draw graphics. Supported on many modern Android devices, and if enabled (change Backend in Graphics settings) you will see a massive speed boost. PPSSPP 1.5 also has the usual assortment of fixes:

This time, it's all about speed. The Vulkan backend has improved as is now the default where available, while the OpenGL backend has been properly multithreaded and now runs really fast on dual-core devices.

PPSSPP 1.7 has a large number of compatibility and bugfixes, and if you've previously had problems with crashes or instability, hopefully you will see a big improvement.
The Android release will be rolled out slowly over the next week to catch bugs. If you want to get it early, the APK is available.
